What Do the Results Say About Phrasly.ai’s Ability to Bypass AI Detection?  

Our benchmark assumed the original text was 100% AI-generated. According to Phrasly.ai, their advanced algorithms can significantly modify content to evade detection by a variety of AI detectors. 

However, the testing reveals a significant discrepancy. While Phrasly.ai successfully bypassed detection under four tools, showing almost 0% AI, it registered a stark 100% AI detection with Originality.ai.

Additionally, there are inconsistencies in word variants. Therefore, you should focus on this if there is a strict requirement for American or English word variants. Plus, there were unexplained parentheses which were not found in the original text. 

These elements contributed to more than 20 suggestions for improving correctness and clarity, underscoring the essay's lower quality.

2. Accept Grammarly's Suggestion

This score leads us to question whether Phrasly.ai intentionally introduces grammatical errors to evade AI detection and what would happen if we corrected them. 

So, we decided to accept all of Grammarly's suggestions, which makes the overall score impressively increased to 99 out of 100.

Findings: 

We're seeing distinct responses across different AI detectors. 

Despite significant grammatical improvements, the detection rates for ZeroGPT, Quillbot, and Writer remained almost unchanged. It’s a good sign that Phrasly.ai works for these tools.  

Conversely, Originality.ai consistently flagged the text as 100% AI-generated, regardless of grammatical refinements. GPTzero’s detection rate notably increased from 3% to 17%, showing a different kind of sensitivity to grammar.
